With over 24 years of experience, Chris Geideman is no stranger to the restaurant business. After covering a dishwashing shift for a friend at Tripp's Restaurant in Rye, New York, his eyes were opened to all the restaurant industry had to offer. Chris soon found himself cooking and bartending at Tripp's until deciding to enroll at Widener University where he graduated with a B.S. in Hotel & Restaurant Management in 1989.

Chris quickly landed a job at May Café in Stamford, Connecticut as a sous-chef, but also held some front of house responsibilities. The popular Boxing Car Grill was Chris' next stop where he was hired as a sous-chef and would later become general manager. In 1995, he moved to St. John's U.S. Virgin Island where he took a job as head chef at Pussers Restaurant in Cruz Bay. After 3 years Chris returned stateside and took a sous-chef position with Michel Nischan at Miche Mache Restaurant in South Norwalk, Connecticut. In 2002, Chris was brought in to help start up the very popular Bleu Restaurant in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Still wanting to learn everything he could about the industry, Chris took a sales position with T. Edwards Wine and, later, Metro Wine as a wine rep where he turned his wine knowledge into expertise. When he wasn't making sales Chris was creating signature drinks as bar manager alongside Bill Taibe at Relish Restaurant. In 2007, Chris brought his bar manager skills to Paul Newman's Dressing Room Restaurant in Westport, Connecticut.

After having worked at these various restaurants and bars in Westchester and Fairfield counties, as well as abroad, Chris wanted a place to call his own. In March of 2007 he acquired the space in which he would make his dream become a reality. Chris' parents were an active part in the opening of the restaurant and were as enthused about the business proposition as he was.

Taking inspiration from all his stops along the way, in late 2007, Chris opened Crew Restaurant, a Contemporary American Bistro in Greenwich, Connecticut. Work began immediately on creating a menu and a drink list that blended familiar and foreign tastes resulting in the mouthwatering menu that Crew currently boasts. After months of construction and preparation, Crew opened its doors to the public on December 12th, 2007 and has been a local success since.
